Reviews about Veor Surgery

  • I appreciate the service received from Veor Surgery, whilst it is difficult to get appointments on occasions I have recently been able to pre-book. It is difficult when working to attend during the day but I think as a country we forget how lucky we are to have our National Health service. I've only had one problem with a Doctor (I think it was a Locum) but the problem was received sympathetically and I was given the opportunity to go back on the waiting list to see the next available Doctor. I am not a fan of blood tests and the Nurses have always been very kind and understanding - much to the envy of my husband who uses a different Surgery with regular blood tests carried out with nurse nicknamed 'Javelin Woman!' Great surgery which I highly recommend.

Awful. I rang over 100 times in the morning (not exaggerating!) only to be told for the third time that I couldn't see my GP. This surgery needs to start dealing with the patients it already has before taking on any more.

Pointless being registered to this surgery, if you are employed. You can't make appointments a day before, but you can go in and wait the next day for an appointment to come up.. Besides that, when you phone up at 8.30 the line is low and behold engaged! When i got through at 8.45, i was told oh sorry no appointments available today. What use is that?! I work i cannot just go in anytime, i will have to go sick and lose wages! Not only can you not get an appointment, some of the doctors have no interest in your welfare and keep you in a consultant room for an hour, whilst seeing other patients, during your booked appointment! Which i had done to me a few years back. Which was shocking. Relatives of mine hardly go to see a doctor, but when they went for the first time in 15 years of registering, the doctor spoke to them like they're always there, they're a burden and that they doctor couldn't careless. Worst of all told them to stop wasting their time. I wouldn't recommend this surgery to anyone.

I booked an appointment over the phone and was given a time of 4.20, which was immediately changed to 4.40 by the person taking the booking. I double checked and was assured that 4.40 was correct. I subsequently arrived for the 4.40 appointment in plenty of time and was told by the receptionist to go through. At no time was any mention made of me being 'late'. After waiting 30 minutes the receptionist came out and said the doctor won't see you as you were late arriving! I stated that 4.40 was my appointment time only to be told no it was 4.20 and he won't see you. I was not late, but was made to feel as if I was wasting their time. I then asked if I could make another appointment and told no, I had to phone in the morning and sit in their telephone queue in the hope of being granted and appointment. Normal waiting time on the phone to book is 20 minutes. So, due to their poor booking procedures I did not get to see the doctor, was made to feel as if I was a time waster, wasted 30 minutes of my time and now have to spend another 20 minutes trying to get an appointment. Why did the receptionist not say something when I booked in? If you are thinking of registering with this surgery, don't its very poor.
